Fish are still spawning. The water level rising and falling really hurts it.

What is Texas BBQ? Is it what y'all label stuff in Dixie to let everyone know it is the best thing ever?

This is how I remember Lanier several years ago. Lots of people took their metal detectors to the lake in search of lost property.

I had a blog on the ESPN website during the drought. I was asked to blog every week on the lake and fishing conditions. It was crazy. I will try and locate some of the pictures and post them
We did some good things during the drought but it was mostly mass hysteria.

Here are a few pictures i took from the blog
The COE will only allow homeowners to move docks so far our from their property. So we ended up with alot of this
This is Starboard Marina. They had to move the boats out of the water and have them on styrofoam blocks in the parking lot. This picture does not really show the mass amount of boats and how big some of them are.
This dock is "hung" up. Some people do this to keep the waves on the busy weekends from bouncing them around while they try and use the docks. This dock is at full pool or just a few feet below it.
There are a lot of lakes that have big draw downs in the winter. We are not one of them. The Chattahoochee water system is somewhat fragile so they usually do not move the water up and down much. We have such a small spillway and such a small water basin, the lake usually only moves in inches either way.
