I've always been told I need to do "the right thing" and that in the long run, it will reward you.

But I've noticed that the people who do "the wrong thing" are the ones getting the rewards and profits.

Is this just some sort of brainwashing used on the masses to keep the smart bad guys in power and the gullible "goodies" in shackles and under control?

Picture what it was like waaay back in the day when cavemen were beating each other over women and food...
Then think of one of the smart tribal leaders realizing that humans will perish unless they establish some order and moral reasoning..

Boom!!! organized religion still crushing our species

It's all a bunch of crap. There's no honor in sacrificing anymore. Once you've got your $, no one cares how you got it, they just want to get their piece of it.

bad guys don't always win, but they have a higher winning percentage.

i've learned that being honest doesn't always get you the furthest and you won't win most often...

that being said, i enjoy living my life knowing i don't have to look over my shoulder hoping nothing comes back and bites me in the but from being dishonest at any point in my life. I don't worry about being audited, somebody finding out about something at work, my wife finding my internet history, etc.

Far from a perfect man, but I sleep well at night.

I knew this guy who always did the wrong thing and always came out on top. Then he lost control of his car one night, he was drunk, put him and his new wife in the hospital, and now he Los all memory about her and can't do small tasks without supervision.

I know another girl that would lie and manipulate, her husband fell from a power line tower just days after they were married and has been in the hospital for the past year or two.

People get what they deserve, they just never believe that the are bad people. People believe in blessings from god, but never think he takes things away.

It's abo living with yourself, it you can go through life stabbing people in the back and getting ahead by all means do it. But eventually you will come to realize that despite your professional success, you have nothing. No friends, no relationships, nobody to enjoy the fruits of your success with.

No in Gods eyes.

Ive heard it doesnt matter if your good or bad. As long as you believe, you go to heaven.

I think the universe is entirely indifferent to our actions and there is no such thing as karma. For every example you provide of someone getting what they deserve, there are counter examples of bad people finishing on top.

That being said, I try my best to do what I think is the right thing in my life.
