Well there is something you need to take care of before the shower. That should help get you moving for the rest of the day, make you feel lighter on your feet and all that jazz.

Try sleeping more dumbass. Might help.

His problem is simple. If he really does take a shower first, he is skipping the most important step of any day.

Ok. I'll try.
ETA: Sorry Mr. Lewis...
What I was trying to say is you may want to consider trying to get closer to 8 hours of sleep a night to help with the morning blues.

What I've noticed is that it doesnt matter how much sleep I get but what time I wake up. I can go to bed at 9 PM, but if I'm getting up at 5 or 6 in the morning I feel like crap. However, I can go to bed at 6 AM, wake up at noon and feel awesome. I just dont do before/during sunrise very well.

One of the single biggest advantages a person can have is to be a morning person.
There's some new research on this topic. The authors of the study divide people into two groups: larks and owls.

This is a really confusing thread if you read it thinking the title is: "Does anyone else really snuggle in the morning?"

Sex right before bed.
Best. Sleep. Ever.
Oh, and you're welcome.

Get a sleep study done. You probably suffer from Sleep Apnea. Basically, you are waking up 30-50 times a night and you don't even realize it.

I slept like crap until my doctor told me to get a wedge to put under my pillow. It prevents me from sleeping on my back. Solved my problem completely.

Circadian rhythms.
Like crompdaddy said, I had the same problem until my 30's, then it magically went away because I was in a real routine for years. My circadian rhythms reset.
Google circadian rhythms, and don't drink so much.

How early does Miles make yall get up to prep the practice space for the players that get there at 6 am? That must be brutal.
