I honestly can't tell the difference between Bon Scott and Brian Johnson (at least from the Those About to Rock album). I know one person who can, he's tried to explain to me, but I don't get it.
Find the Bon Scott version of Back in Black and find the Brian Johnson version. You can really hear the difference on that song.
Scott's voice is much clearly and has, as was mentioned earlier, a certain swagga
Johnson just screams. It's irritating.

I understand. Tool isn't for everyone.
But it's undeniable that MJK is one of the greatest rock singers ever. Rock experts already consider him to be one of the greatest.

Find the Bon Scott version of Back in Black
ETA:The "nine lives, cat's eyes..." line was written by Brian Johnson.

Listen to Tool's remake of Zeppelin's No Quarter and focus on MJK's vocals.
Incredible.
Tool's "No Quarter"
If the iPad link doesnt work, just YouTube "Tool, No Quarter" and listen to the first link.

I'm serious. I have all their albums. Enjoy me some Perfect Circle and a little bit of Puscifer as well.

Oh. I honestly thought that was Scott. I googled it and it was some no name that I like better than Johnson apparently.

Blizz,
The fact that you laugh about that is laughable.

Why Freddie was probably the best.
Dragon Attack (Montreal)
As far as vocalists, Geoff Tate was better in his prime
Take Hold Of The Flame (Tokyo)

I was coming into the thread to say Freddie but then saw that you had already answered the question.
