Not even close to being as good.
If you can find Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, get it. I doubt you can though, since we just got it in Atlanta a few months ago.

I had that when I went to their brewery back in the day. It's pretty good too.

What about dark beers/ales?

As in any?
I'm not big on regular ales. I'm more of a hop head so I'm all about the IPA's.
As far as darks go, North Coast Old Rasputin is the best cheap stout that you can get. Avery Mephistopheles Stout is pretty amazing. Left Hand Milk Stout or Milk Stout Nitro is money. Founders Breakfast Stout is delicious. Founders has a Kentucky Breakfast Stout too, but it's only available for a few hours in March, and I've never had my hands on it. It's one of the holy grails of stouts.

Save up and bite the bullet on Ebay. Or wait in line for 8 hours with a friend so you can hold each other's spot to get food and go to the bathroom. I'd go with option 1.

PORT ROYAL TWO
740 CITIPLACE BL BLDG R SEMMES
BATON ROUGE, LA 70806
WHOLE FOODS MARKET
7529 CORPORATE BLVD
BATON ROUGE, LA 70809
UBAN LIQUOR OF B R
3911 PERKINS RD
BATON ROUGE, LA 70808
CALANDROS

Best cheap stout that you can get. Gets a 96/97 on Beer Advocate and it's not expensive at all. It's also 9% ABV.

Is it bad that this sounds better then dealing with eBay?
