This weekends forecast:
Augusta, MO
51, 55, 60 w/ rain.
Eureka Springs, AR
44, 49, 60 w/ 60% chance of snow.
Should we revisit the discussion about the relevance of weather and how it relates to how much more southern you all are? Good thing the ball club is on the road this weekend, would hate to see all that chirping about our snowed out game backfire.

No chance of accumulation, your argument is invalid.

This guy says it's gonna snow, whether it melts or not isn't as significant as the fact that it's snowing in May in the great deep south that is Arkansas.

Please send pics of the snow accumulation
TIA
Also, I know this will go over your head, but its worth a try
Augusta, MO (elev 561 ft)
Eureka Springs, AR (1260 ft)

What is this fixation on accumulation?? This is solely about one thing, that it is likely going to snow in May in the great southern state of Arkansas.

I don't get it.

You don't understand the relationship between elevation and snow?
k.
And if it does snow, it will be the first time in recorded history that snow has fallen in the state of Arkansas in the month of May.
More of a climate change thing than a yankee thing.

So... If I remember correctly you all didn't really seem to care that our spring snow that cancelled ball games earlier this year was extremely abnormal.

Error in logic: March snows are not "extremely abnormal" in Columbia
In fact, y'all average 2" in the month of March annually.

Weather thread on the Rant turns into a pissing contest between two midwestern states arguing over being more southern based on weather.

Further: a real statistical analysis (opposed to propaganda and data manipulation) would've used a Missouri city near Eureka Springs, rather than one 5 hours away.
Let's say, for example, Cassville, Mo:
Distance: 30 miles
Time: 43 minutes
Forecast: 38 degrees, 1-3" snow on Fri
48, 50% chance of snow on Sat
Assuming your resistance to acknowledge the import of accumulation, I will assume Eureka gets none.
Of course, an actual statistical analysis doesn't help your case, so that's one of many reasons one wasn't conducted

I can assure you that it doesn't snow 2 inches every March, a March snowfall is rare. Remember that they are taking totals from decades ago before climate change.
This site seems to be going with 1.3 for the avg March snowfall LINK
And let's keep on track here, it's going to snow in Arkansas in May... that nonsense doesn't happen in the real south.

Not possible.
There's only one midwestern state represented on the rant.
Here's a hint which one it is:

Just comparing it to where I live, man.. Of course a city right across the border is going to have similar weather.

It's not my fault you all can't take a simple chirp... it's forecasted to snow in your fine southern state this weekend, just take it on the chin and move on.
