I don't know Ducky or Alexa.
I don't understand how the alter works. Do the mods just not care as long as they switch up the name and keep their nose clean. Or do they have to get a whole new IP or do mods not monitor IP and you just have to switch a name.

I think generally they only do an IP check if something raises suspicion. Otherwise it'd be impossible for different people in the same apt/house/dorm/etc to have accounts

If you use your computer on the same connection all the time, you have the same IP, but every time you connect to a different internet connection you have a different IP.
Also, with cell phones... IP addresses for them change constantly. Then there are onion browsers. Tough job for the admins to catch them all.

I think that is only for your network. I believe your router gives you an IP address which remains constant.

well sure. But doesn't each computer in your home network show the same IP address to the internet (externally). This can change but wouldn't my desktop and laptop be seen as having the same address if I logged on at the same time.
