The line up was announced today, this is my first year to ever go and I can't wait. Any of you SECROT'ers ever been and have any advice?

Pretty interesting line up this year. If any year was the year for me to go it was last years line up. I'm not willing to pay the $280 for this years lineup
Everyone I know that has gone enjoyed their experience so I'm sure you'll have a blast.

Yeah I hate I missed last year with cudi and imagine dragons. Wiz is enough reason for me to spend the 280 this year though

I went the first year and had a blast. It helped having a condo within walking distance we could walk back to and crash for a few hours while acts we didn't care for were playing.
Only advice I have is stay hydrated, bring some comfortable sandals(I wore chacos), and try to stay close to the venue if at all possible. I saw they've added shuttles, but I don't remember them having those the first year.
I was excited about going back this year, but the lineup was pretty meh. Think I'm gonna do the Shaky Knees Fest in Atlanta instead. More my speed.

Are there a bunch of bitch cops standing around monitoring things?

I have to say...really don't see the appeal with Childish Gambino.

Wiz is going to be there. Enough said

I don't recall that many. There were a bunch of logistical nightmares that first year, and I don't think the town was quite ready for it. I heard traffic was terrible, and there were LONG lines to get in. I imagine a lot has changed since the first one as the town and the people putting it on have tweaked their plans.

The only one on the lineup that interests me that I have never seen before is Outkast. But I wouldnt' travel and pay that much just for them.

I'm looking forward to jack Johnson. Always enjoyed his style

Only ones that interested me were Queens of the Stone Age, Modest Mouse, and Portugal. The Man.
Think I'm gonna do the Shaky knees fest in Atlanta instead.

Living next door in Orange Beach I can tell you a lot has been improved from the logistical standpoint. This is what I've been told from people who have gone the first year and this past year.
As for the cops. Don't be a fool and you'll be fine. Like any event of this type, don't bring attention to yourself and you will not have any problems from the LEOs. They would much rather be looking at all the bikinis so you really have to stand out to get noticed by them.

the jazz fest line up straight rapes the hangout line up

jack johnson should be really good. I could see wiz and outkast being interesting because of the crowd

Hangout fest is really great. I went last year and it was really fun, and our condo was was close to everything. Just remember to stay hydrated, and I didn't have any problems with cops.

I saw Wiz in Chicago. He sounds just as good live as he does from the studio. Not a very great performer, but still awesome to see
