When my brother got his car, I told him that he was embarrassing for getting such an obvious and pretentious midlife crisis car, and he told me that it was both better and cheaper to be embarrassed by a car than any of the other embarrassing and expensive things men do when approaching a midlife crisis.

And here I am thinking I was avoiding all of that by not buying a corvette. !

I do not.. I just figured that was something every guy that bought a hummer, Porsche, or corvette knew

I was just going to say that as long as you have someone to tell you that you are being pretentious and embarrassing, you can still do stuff that is pretentious and embarrassing. You can embrace it. It's like doing stuff you know is tacky. It's when you don't know it's tacky that you run into trouble.

Is it bad that I hope my friend cancels her wedding so I can have a longer summer trip to MS?

After this past weekend I don't think I ever want to smell that shite again. And I've always liked good tequila before. :yak:

No. Especially if you know they are a disaster. What are the chances at this point? And what are the chances this drama lasts up until they say "I do"?
As an aside, isn't it weird how once people get married, everyone seems to forget how volatile they once were? It's like they immediately go from being nutso to happily married, when everyone knows that behind closed doors, they are still nutty.

I will try to make a point to post after I've had margaritas. You'll see.

Fine. I thought I was nervous until I saw everyone else and realized I was actually really calm in comparison.
