Major storms here, wind gusts up to 70 MPH.... Blowing through this morning. I hope it's not too bad on anyone here. Tornado warnings as well.

I'm not too worried. Just glad my first professor was. Got a message from him saying class cancelled because of tornados. Get to shelter now!!!!!

So I just enrolled a kid from another school in the district who hasn't been in school in a month, is failing all of his classes (he'll be retained as an 8th grader), and went to court yesterday for truancy but because the court couldn't locate the family the case got dismissed. A new court referral now has to be written up by the truancy officer over our resides area which will take another 2-3 months to process and get on the docket.
But hey, it's the teacher's fault that kid won't score high on his state assessment right?
