It's not easier if the hospital drug tests her randomly and requires their employees to be drug free. It'd be exactly the same.

Easier?

I could make a call right now and have it delivered to my door. If it was legal, I'd have to actually get in my car and drive to a gas station. To the bigger point, weed is super fricking easy to get a hold of.

They're supposed to test regularly now, I've been here 2 years with no drug test.

I assure you it wouldn't be any easier to get than it already is.

It sounds line you should stop worrying about marijuana legalization and worry more about where you work. I sell insurance and get drug tested for christs sake.

It's the same logic, my friend.

Latesha could get drunk before work and do the exact same thing. But that aside, keeping pot illegal because someone may or may not give a patient the wrong plate of food and cause an allergic reaction is not a very good reason to be against it. In fact, it's very myopic reasoning and utterly ridiculous.

I'm surprised there weren't more western states on that list like Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, etc.

I support the de-criminalization of it. Beyond that I don't really care.

Its worse than the prohibition days. Atleast there are legitimate risks in drinking alcohol...

The only reason the Gov went on a fear mongering campaign about the stuff to begin with was because of the cotton industry and now a major reason is pharmaceutical companies who are trying to create artificial chemical compounds to imitate certain aspects of pot... take something naturally occuring, make it illegal, mimic it with man made chemicals, and then PROFIT

Because I see how people work at my hospital with only occasional use. If it were legal it would only get worse. Last thing I want is someone too relaxed in patient care.

Then you simply fire them. Just because it is legal does not mean they can be under the influence of the substance during work, like alcohol.

Lots of professional people drink. Most don't do it at work unless it's acceptable (business outings, and mixers usually) pot would be the same way.

I think the federal government needs to just come out and legalize it. Then let the states decide if they'll take their laws off the books individually.

I feel like as an adult I should be able to make a decision if I want to smoke pot or not. how does the government know what's best for me? I think reality is if you want to smoke pot you will, I just don't think it's fair to punish someone for that choice.

I agree with Nortizzle to a degree. I think there are a bunch of people that don't do it bc it's illegal, so if it were legal more people would be smoking. There would be more cases of people showing up to work high if more people smoked(duh statement).

People who smoke like to do EVERYTHING while they're high. I know people that smoke and drink. Almost all of them have gone to work high(wake and bake), but no one wants to get up and kill a fifth of Jack before 7:30.

It's harder to hide the effects of alcohol at work, too.

I'm still for the legalization of marijuana, though.

you haven't met me and my friends. If it was acceptable i'm pretty sure we all would atleast start drinking something when we wake up. I've still managed to not show up to work drunk. I'm also pretty damn successful for my age. I'm upper management in a software company and do lots of business consulting.

I mean I have friends that are probably alcoholics, but drinking is a lot more social. Getting up and drinking is more of a "hey, look at me look at me, look how crazy I can be" sorta thing. I don't know anyone that actually enjoys getting up and drinking. I do, however, know plenty of people that enjoy waking up and smoking a bowl. People are a lot more inclined to smoke alone and do something than drink alone and do something. This is just my view from 7 years of undergrad

No..... No it's not. Mary J grows best as close to the equator as possible.

Nowadays most people get their bud from legal states who grow it in a controlled environment, who then ship it out.

Y'all have great bourbon though

Latiesha, the food services employee, is probably already high. Why do you think she works in food service?

No offense but what you said was entirely false. I'm not going into the science that is growing good dope but I can tell you the Kentucky hills are some pretty fine real estate.
