well she would be fired, the company sued for allowing her to work while stoned. of course the company could still do random drug test and she fails she gets fired just like now

And it's not doctors I'm worried about. It's the support staff. What happens when latiesha the food services employee gives a patient the wrong food plate and it has food they're allergic to? All becaused she showed up work half buzzed.
Then fire her, because I'm pretty sure it's against the rules to show up to work intoxicated. Unless you're a pilot.

I'd like to see decriminalization across the board. Maybe one day we will end the war on drugs....

Won't bring the patient back that died.

I mean it's as simple as you treat it in a work environment like you would alcohol. I can't show up drunk to work even though it's legal. But I can partake outside of work hours as long as I'm sober at work.

What's stopping them from doing it now? It might be illegal, but it's not exactly hard to find. Not to mentioned fricked up on something else.
A person willing to come to work intoxicated probably isn't that worried about the legality of the substance they are intoxicated with.

You're the reason no one can have any fun ever.

Well you aren't going to change my mind because you don't work where I work with the people I work with. They would manipulate it any way they can. And patients will be the ones that suffer. Sure they will get fired but they'll still do it. Eventually there'd only by 5 people employed in Birmingham.

We're exchanging ideas, not changing minds.
I am of the opinion though the problem is the people you work with, not the weed.

I completely agree, but that's neverrrrrrrrrr going to happen.
Portugal has decriminalized it completely and they have seen incremental decreases in overall drug use the past decade. Not to mention all the violence associated with illegal drugs has tapered off tremendously. And that's the biggest plus of all, IMO.

DynastyDawg 6 more states call in for full legalization of marijuana Mississippi actually has some of the most lax laws of the whole country when it comes to Marijuana. De-criminalized up to 1 oz, which is more than personal use. IJS
This is true. Someone told me this and I had to look it up myself to believe it. Worth the trade for cold beer at gas stations IMO.

So you think alcohol should be against the law too. Got it.

Georgia won't pass this for a while. People are throwing a fit here about building a slot machine casino here. By the time it's passed I'll be too old to really enjoy it

I dont see how legalizing it would make any difference. If people want to come to work high, they will regardless of the legality.

Dude, the hospital could still drug test. Not to mention Lateesha could show up stoned today too.
It's a matter of saving money from to the war on drugs and not locking people up for non violent crimes. Don't be such a sheep.

So because she could do it anyways we should make it easier?
Posted on 2/22/13 at 4:14 pm to Nortizzle
How would this make it easier? Is it hard to get weed now?
