I believe it's undeniable that California is the most beautiful and majestic state in the United States. I'm well aware that this board loves to rag on California's leftist, bleeding heart liberals, homelessness, feces caked streets and sidewalks; however, politics aside, the beauty and its diversity is unparalleled in my opinion.

North, South, East, West...it doesn't matter. The state holds beauty in all directions in its own unique way. From the roaring, mighty Pacific to the soaring mountain, to the pale blue rivers and lakes, to the barren desert...California has it all.

Sickening enough, these pictures don't provide it justice, nor am I listing all of the great places in and about California.

Yosemite

Sierra Nevada

Big Basin Redwoods State Park

Sequoia National Park

Kings Canyon National Park

Lake Arrowhead

Death Valley

Tahoe National Forest and Lake Tahoe

Big Sur

Joshua Tree

Channel Islands

Point Reyes

Las Trampas

Modoc National Forest

Klamath National Forest

Six Rivers National Forest

Trinity Alps

Anza - Borrego Desert

Inyo National Forest

Stainslaus National Forest

Central Coast

King Range and Lost Coast

LA and San Fran =/= the rest of California.

It's just unfortunate that the state gets a bad rep from those two sore spots.

I mean yea, it's a massive state with like 7 distinct ecosystems.

All that's true too. The California wilderness is gorgeous. California cities are cesspools filled with lunatics. Alaska could give it a run for it's money when it comes to beauty if woods, mountains, and water is the criteria. Again, also a massive state though. You're going to get a lot of diversity in an area that size, just as you would if Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee were one state

It's a shame the politics out there are so fricked up. Wonderful place to visit, but I could never live there.

It really is beautiful. However, I was irritatingly distracted by your placement of the word "Ultimate" in your thread title.

It should go beside the word "Beauty". Thanks.

I really thought this was going to be about the fire at the homeless encampment under the overpass in LA last week
