Hoping for good news from Eldorado Gold, been a long time since it’s had any

Me too. I have been buying and selling SPX puts. Started buying week before last when we were nearing 2790. Going to buy some more in the morning possibly.
I shorted a small lot of ES futs from a good bit up too from Tuesday. Then in and out some more during the week.
They pumped it all day then sold Friday's close. The bounce off 2750 has been very weak.
I could be wrong, but 2730 then 2700....

We are already testing 2700. Probably be back in the high 2600 range depending on what happens with rates and guidance from the Fed on Wednesday.
ETA: well we hit $2600 today
Bought $2735 puts this morning first thing but I dumped them when I was up 18% in like 30 minutes . Kicking myself for that one as I left a lot of money on the table. Oh well...now I wait to find an entry point to ride calls back up.

I've been buying MU calls here and there for a month now for earnings.
Look, man. Some people aren't meant to hold stocks. They're just looking for quick gains and not in it for the long term. So says Warren Buffet.

You do know options are part of a healthy portfolio if done smartly?
Your issue is impatience. The fact that I've been buying calls a month out tells you I research and plan instead of trying to hit home runs. I'd rather have base hits every day instead of a few home runs here and there.

Does General Mills report before or after the bell tomorrow?
ETA: Nevermind. Before the bell.
Option straddle at $52 for April 27 on Oracle yesterday near close would have yielded a near 30% gain today.

last 12 quarters they've only missed once.
predicted move is 7%..
personally, i'd be wary of profit taking at this point with MU.
they've moved between -9% to +12% these past couple years (next day following earning)
if the premiums drop sufficiently the last 10-15 mins thursday i'll buy a stangle just for kicks

I'm debating dumping my MU calls right before earnings. I am already way up overall so I'd rather take the money and run. Like you said, there will be a lot of profit taking.
