Tired of just doing miscellaneous crap around the house so just bought the materials to build a bar for out back. Doing it out of cedar and debating on cedar versus concrete top. Never worked with concrete before. Anyone else work with concrete? How difficult is it? I can youtube how to do it but can't decide if I should take the easy way out.
Anyone else doing anything cool to pass the time?

I’m remixing songs.
I did a little bit Lovely Day, by Bill Withers.
Now I’m working on a house remix of Manic Monday.

I am finishing up a '68 300 I have been restoring. Doing some landscaping around the house and starting on a 10-20 shed for the mower and yard tools.

That's sweet. You'll have to post a pic or something when you get it done or close to it. You building the shed or buying one and putting it up?

Gives real meaning to freedom of the road.

Cool. Doing it yourself? If so, that's impressive. I'm comfortable doing small stuff outside. Not sure I'm confident or good enough to do something like a home theater.

I guess I should clarify. The space in the basement has been finished for a while. I have been finally getting new front towers, new center channel, new rear surrounds and ordered dual subs that I don't know yet when they will arrive.
Next round will be obtaining miniDSP for proper setup and calibration of the subs and then a new receiver to fine tune everything together.
It will only be a 5.2 system for now but I hope in 5-10 years to get to a 7.2.2 setup.
I originally started doing this for movie watching but now with the new towers and comfy entertainment room, I like listening to 2 channel music at ridiculously loud volumes more than movies. I could probably stop now and be thrilled with a 5.2 setup for a long time.

Concrete is certainly not easy to make a countertop out of, but it is beautiful. Go for it. I used that for a top in my basement bar.
I just finished gutting our master bath. Now time for a long overdue new deck. Have a couple guys coming to tear the old one out in the next couple days, then materials being delivered on Wednesday.
Not making much money right now, but I’ve sure gotten good at spending it.

Very cool Ridge and with gas heading to a buck a gallon it'll be great summer for driving! The money you're investing to bring it up to snuff mechanically is well spent on a classic with those bones. It's clear it was your Dad's baby. Amazing shape.
As for myself, nothing too cool. I'm still working, albeit less, and have been repainting around the house and deck and am going to side a 12 x 20 outbuilding next so I don't have to repaint it anymore.
For fun, I've got a guitarist friend who I hang out with once in a while and have been learning handfuls of songs on bass, keyboard and harmonica so we can play stuff together. Neil Young, Beatles, etc.
I've stuggled with guitar because of the scale length, so I stepped down to ukulele and have become fairly competent on 8 string tenor. The next step will be to find the right 8 string baritone (which uses guitar tuning minus the two lowest strings) so I can play rhythm to his lead.
I know the whole sheltering thing is getting old, but so would catching this crap. Hopefully there's a workable solution to try to get things back to semi-normal until a vaccine is found.

Not sure you have been seeing all the data coming out about the virus but the odds are around 90% based on the recent Stanford study (94% based on the german study) that if you got COVID, you wouldn't know it or even have any symptoms. It is that mild for the vast majority.
They are starting the antibody studies and many many people have already had it and didn't know it. The virus appears to be highly contagious with a ridiculously low severity level. We will likely have herd immunity before fall gets here.
