Depends on how much KState is paying him and how much we're willing to pay. Compared to other schools we haven't had any buyouts to pay for(would obviously change now) and have paid really low salaries.

We'd probably have to double his current salary. I'm guessing KSU isn't paying that much but idk.

Yeah I'd take him but we missed out.

2.3 is what wiki says. Let the season play out. I was just impressed how he had his guys ready to come out and punch us in the mouth and they never backed down.

I am just now reading some of yalls posts on lemonis. here is the deal, State was projected to finish 6th in the west this season (yeah with our talent it was dumb but still) we ended up tied at first place in the best division in baseball. the ONLY weekend i was mad at lemonis was in fayetville, the rest of the season I was more than pleased with his decisions with the pitching staff and all. shite we won a regional and super without out our Saturday starter. Add in the fact that the dude is an ELITE recruiter and I like the guy more and more. He will do great things in Starkville Mississippi. Jake Mangum said he would bring us our first title and goddamnit I believe him.

ETA forgot about LSU weekend.. yeah that weekend always pisses me off

Come on guys. Dan Mullen was a consistent 8 win coach because of the bowl games. He lucked out with getting Dak, De’runnya Wilson, Fred Ross, and Josh Robinson all together for the 2014/2015 seasons. Oh yeah, Mullen’s first 5 years he was 29-22, about a 56% win rate. Talk about success. Defensive coordinators couldn’t stand working for the guy. Clowns for assistant coaches and recruiters. Losses to South Alabama and Northwestern in a bowl game. Get fricking real. The guy was mediocre at best. Rarely lost when he was supposed to win and very very rarely won when he was suppose lose.

Look at what we have now. A head coach who is an offensive genius. A win rate of 62.5%. A grad transfer who may be our best pure passer in MSU history. A running back who has the ability to take it to the house at any moment. An Amish looking freshman willing to give up his body on fourth down for a chance to move the chains. A wide receiver who is actually somewhat clutch in Mitchell. A defense who is coming off the best defensive year our school has ever had. 3 first round draft picks last year and suspensions have riddled this unit but they still are there, they still have pride, they will come around. At least our kickers are good, maybe not special team coverage or blocking.

My point is we have a lot going on for us right now. Would I want to trade everything we have going on for us to take a step back to Mullen??? You bet your sweet arse I would. What kind of jackass squanders the best fricking defense in college football last year. They allowed 12 touchdowns all year and STILL lost 5 fricking games. Are you shitting me? Mullen would have found a way to score and gone, at worst, 11-1. Croom could have gone 10-2 with that defense for frick sakes. Next clown up, I’m down with this guy.

No you were not right. Moorhead was a good hire. So far he is 10-6 in his first sixteen games. He is still basically playing with CDM’s players. Give the Coach a chance.

This microwave mentality where coaches are concerned is completely ridiculous. You see where Tennessee is right now.

For a program like State, stability at HC position is a must for recruiting purposes.

Some of his play-calls are head scratchers but in a nutshell, we are 2 dropped passes and KR TD away from being 13-3 since he became HC.

So not all is lost. Even if we lose Saturday, it will be no cause for alarm. Moorhead is a good coach and the overall future of the program looks solid and letting one or two games skew your overall attitude is not the way to make State a better team.

It's more likely Moorhead leaves for Pittsburgh than he gets fired. All of this firing talk is nonsense rn i agree. But to say he's done the best with the rosters he's had is an argument I have a hard time believing.

He had 3 FIRST ROUND draft picks last year. He had a senior laden team. We only gave up 12 TDS all season and we go 8-5. Sunshine pumpers out in full force.

I agree. And look at the other hires made in the SEC when we hired Joe.

We got the best of what was available, and I think he will do fine. His freshman recruits playing right now look awesome and I think the future is bright.

Fans need to get behind the coach and the team and stop being butthurt over a few bumps in the road with a new staff and new system. Mullen left, get over it, and support the new guys. If Joe gets us 7-9 wins in a rebuilding year with the suspensions he deserves very little criticism

He didn’t have an offense with players that could run his system. Our offense this year with Stevens or Shrader at the helm and last years defense wins 10 games easy

No, not at all. Joe was and still is a fantastic hire. Anyone that thinks Dan Mullen is a good coach is an idiot. He called a jump pass with a quarterback that had a 12 inch vertical and was 5'6". He called a QB dive with him too.

Dumbest play call in the history of football.

Actually I thought it was suppose to be a pitch to Dixon but Lee claims he saw a gap. I think he stated that in the postgame.

And the jump pass was fine but Chad Jones came out of nowhere to get a hand on it.

TPOS Tyson Lee missing that wide open toss. Dixon could have walked into the end zone.

I agree with you there. We beat LSU up and down field but did not finish the deal. and yes Dixon would have walked into the end zone.

We were still learning how to win that year and the Egg Bowl 2009 was a huge victory in getting over the hump and that game really spring forwarded us into the success we had in 2010.

But the LSU and HOU were two games that we should have won in 2009.

I never liked the JM choice when I first heard it. Why do we go and hire an offensive coach who's time as a head coach did not end well....If he makes it five years I will the most surprised. Sitting here watching the 48-9 Auburn game. Notice how quickly they come to line on offense and play. We have to wait for JM to call a play each and every frigging time. Just gives the defense time to rest and settle in. When we were on the 1/2 yard line, first and ten, and got a penalty, I give that one to moorhead. Stop being a play caller and be a head coach. He blew last year, and will blow this year even worse.
