Out with 21-22 and it's understandable but we will still have the right to be pissed off

If we miss with 21-22 wins, we will have the non-conference schedule to thank for that.

Sagarin has a number of rankings. The one where he ranks teams on how they have done lately??? We are sitting at #20.

If we really play like a top 20 team down the stretch, we could close 6-1 or 5-2.

12-6 or 11-7 in this conference this year deserves a bid.

The only place the pre-season hurts us is if we are truly on the bubble. Here's to a strong finish that will take that off of the table.

A hot finish always surpasses a hot start. 2012 proves just that. I agree if we finish strong, we should get in. But I also do not think we can go one and done in the SEC Tournament. I do not think we have to win it to get in either.

I am still a bit puzzled by all the negative nabobs that was so prevalent in the earlier portion of this thread.

I presume some of you never played or coached basketball or just do not look at anything besides the score.

Even through the losses during the early schedule, I could see the team making progress. Our defense has been solid all year long. Now our offense has started to jell and we are gaining confidence as shots have started falling. Now the wins have started coming as well.

Looking back at OM, UK, Auburn, @Bama losses, I could see we were close to turning the corner despite the losses and I advised for patience. Some of our fans act like we are supposed to do this overnight. Very rarely does a team go from bad to good in less than 3-4-5 seasons. Just does not happen.

@Missouri will be tough but I think is a winnable game. They are a physical team but we do have the advantage at the guard positions. We will see.
With that Go Dawgs!!!!

Tonight's loss did not hurt as bad as Missouri did. A quadrant 2 loss was not as bad as missing out on a quadrant 1 win.

Still I will take the NIT.

If they don't continue to play hard, the NIT won't be an option.

...and the SEC tournament is winnable. There isn't a single team in the SEC where you would look at them and say, "That one is a sure loss."

So, if we can magically pull out the last 3, how does 23-8 sound going into the tournament?

Unless you win the SEC Tournament, the committee has shown they do not tend to reward anything positive other than winning it. But they do tend to punish early exits.

State needs to win out the regular season, and let's see where they end up. If they win out they will have a double bye.

My biggest concern is the LSU game at this point. It is a road game and they have a lot of excitement and momentum. Sure Tennessee will be a challenge, but LSU is underrated.

No possibile way to play on Wednesday or have a double bye. Best case is 5 seed. Worst case is 8 seed.

If we win tomorrow and can win a couple in the tourney we might sneak back in depending on how the bubble plays out

Bracket came out. We are a 7 seed facing LSU at 6 pm on SEC Network. Rematch of our first game of the SECT last year and last Saturdays game.

And if we somehow get past the team that beat us by over 20, we get to play Tennessee on Friday. What an awful draw.

And to make things worse, if we play like we've been playing, we won't get past the first round of the NIT. I don't think this prevents us from hosting, I think at worst we're a 4 seed.

And to the negative fans. No one and done doesn't mean we're not in the NIT.

Congratulations! First postseason since 2012. Not bad.

First Postseason win since 2010. Big step forward for this program. Now onto Baylor! We get to play the Baptists during church time so we should be able to sneak out a win with no one looking in Waco.

For anyone that compares Stansburys loss in the 2nd round to 7 seed Xavier to tonight. You are a complete dumbass.
