The posts I'm reading are insane.

Mainieri (the winningest active coach in the NCAA) is getting questioned by a bunch of guys that have no clue what they are talking about.

The man knows baseball more than anyone out there and, frankly with the way our fans are, we don't deserve him. The game hasn't changed, fellas. It's baseball. He'll get things turned around, trust me.

You all sound like a bunch of little league moms.

You're right. We don't deserve him. He should leave.

I agree. He should leave.

Now wait a minute—I keep being told that the game HAS changed and that’s why we shouldn’t expect to be elite anymore. If it hasn’t, that pretty much confirms we just suck. Nice self own.

He’s had over a decade to turn things around and has failed for the most part.

Unless you’re one of those fans content hosting a regional.

Mainieri isn’t winning a lot this year. I fail to see how his wins at St.Thomas and Air Force have anything to do with his ability to win in 2021.

Age is undefeated. I think he should be doing better if the recruiting and baseball instruction is above average. The numbers are not adding up.

Mainieri is paid very well to lead what was once an established elite program. Covid saved his arse last season. Anything less than the a regional invite is a complete fail.

And lastly, if his players are out getting drunk and breaking curfew then we have a serious issue with program focus. Sure kids in college will occasionally do college things. But if his core players are lacking discipline or motivation, that’s on Mainieri unfortunately.

Have a down vote! Lack of hustle, he recurring face in hands in the corner of the dugout, he doesn’t recruit (obviously the rest of the SEC) does! Horrible at decision making with the line up and defensive alignment.

Thanx for all you have done Paul. But here is the door!

2017 was only 4 years ago, big dawg. And you can hardly count 2020 as a season.

Ok. How many more seasons would you give Mainieri if the next 2-3 years are mediocre in the SEC ?

In other words, what kind of results would have to happen over the next 2-4 seasons before you say enough is enough. What is your breaking point for the head coach to be removed ? It’s not a trick question. I am interested in hearing your assessment.
