I guess we will see. If Kansas was interested, then I'd say it was probably a good pickup. I don't know whether that was the case or whether it was just him being interested in Kansas though.

What happened to Myreon Jones? That guy seemed like an ace from 3 pt which we need on this team.

"doesn't pass"? He was 4th in the league in assist % as a 2 guard. That said, LSU "doesn't pass". They are routinely in the bottom 1/3rd of the nation in assists per made FG. So it in not like they are bringing in a "selfish" guy to a team that relies significantly on player and ball movement.
Is he an All SEC addition? Probably not. But he's a guy with a ton of SEC experience who can create his own offense. Like it or not LSU relies on guys creating their own offense more than most teams. Next year's backcourt was looking like:
Gaines - a lot of big time potential, but some inconsistency that needed to be refined with more experience and maturity
Cook - good athlete (though a bit on the small) side who doesn't have much experience, yet
Knight - a big 2 guard who has had some success at a lower level of play, but not proven in a major conf yet.
Murray - True freshman.
For the last three seasons Wade has had guys with experience he trusted in the backcourt. He didn't look like he was going to have that this year so he found someone who has experience and is very familiar with the league. If he was signed strictly to be LSU's "deep threat" then no, it's not a great signing. But he is a guy who can play both guard spots and add some versatility to the line up
