Was hoping if all works out that coach Wade has time to recover going forward. Trying to stay positive.

If he does indeed have to testify, which is not a given despite what you read, then this thing could drag on past the signing date.

If that is the case, the remainder of this class would likely consist of JUCO and grad transfers.

If he is indeed fired after that date, then we would be looking for a new coach late in the process.

Not good all the way around.

This is why the admin needs to reinstate WW now. To save this program.

Potential NCAA violation should not be driving this admins decisions. Regardless if WW committed NCAA violations LSU will get sanctioned for said violations.

So we can either ride with Wade, save the program and take the consequences from the NCAA...which may be nothing.

But riding without Wade will kill any semblance of a recruiting class this year and the potential for transfers from kids like Emmitt and Days are huge. That will KILL this program and the program will lose way more money in one year than Wade's entire contract.

LSU is on self probation
Whether Wade is cleared or not, it's going to hurt next year

This.

If Wade is let go, you can expect both signees to be released from their LOI's and no signings on the spring signing date (there wouldn't be enough time to get a new coach in). Even if Wade is reinstated after the season, however unlikely, I think the damage as already been done for next year's class.

Also, in addition to Waters, KBW and Reid, who were all leaving at the end of this season, it is likely E. Williams, Days and possibly Smart would seek to transfer. And if you don't think opposing coaches won't be poaching, think again. Guys like Mays and Taylor will have to decide what they want to do going into their final year on what would likely be a decimated LSU team.

In essence, LSU suspended Wade as a means of avoiding a possible "death penalty" (that was never going to happen) and in the process, sentenced themselves to a de facto death penalty.

BRAVO

If Wade is not reinstated for NCAAT, which we're getting pretty dang close here, I wouldn't expect to sign any big time prospects in the April signing period, although a few are still very much waiting around right now seeing what will happen supposedly.

Our admin are killing any opportunity we have though to sign a couple big guys to close this class at the moment.

It will look like the spring of 1997.

Chico Potts, Louis Earl, David Bosley, Dejuan Collins, and company.

Who will be this year's version of Maurice Carter ? Probably Skyler Mays.

Only Potts on your list was a 1997 signee. Bosley was a senior in the spring of 1997.

Rhodaria Caston, Willie Anderson, Cedric Carter, etc., were in that class.

What a dismal fricking recruiting class. Collins was actually a stud and played International ball for a while and was an all-star.

This is why the firing of Wade with cause argument is so funny. LSU is going to lose 10s of millions of dollars next year in one year by destroying the program by firing Wade. At least with Wade aboard he can make the program exciting and money producing even under NCAA sanctions (IF that happens).

Well, the others on the team were left over from Brown's last group. I was not just listing the recruits.

Gene Nabors and a decent center ( name slips me) transerred out to some mid majors.

Brady had to just sign some bodies to field a team. He never got full credit for what he accomplished.

Collins and Willie Anderson were good players and Maurice emerged into an All SEC player , but no inter ior size.
