I would like to find a shoe that hits that sweet spot between support and performance. I've been wearing light, quick, responsive running shoes with a 4MM drop for quite a while now. However, the discomfort is becoming too much of late. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

A good pair I would recommend looking at is a $40 option at Academy.
They’re called Saucony Mauraders and they’re great at motion control. They’ve been great for my wife. Especially at $40.
Google tells me brooks ghost, glycerines, or mizuno wave riders. I have ghosts and they’ve been great shoes.

I'm a supinator and tried so many shoes until I finally found the New Balance 1080. I've had some of every version. I used to wear a hole in the outside top of my old shoes, and wear the soles flat underneath in the same spot. 1080's fixed everything.
