Fitness membership refunds

My wife (no pics) has a pretty expensive barre monthly membership. Have any of y’all been able to get a refund or anything since you haven’t been able to go to the gym the past month and won’t be able to this month? I wouldn’t care about it if it was 40 dollars or so but it’s 150 a month

My gym has frozen all memberships (autodraft). That being said...

My fitness center is not charging us for April.

Our gym asked if we would continue to pay and they would make it up to us toward the end of the contract.

My gym outright canceled my contract. Which is what I wanted anyway. There’s another gym I wanted to join.

My wife works for a gym franchise company in the cooperate office, they prorated March for any gym that was required to close due to state order, and all of their locations had to be closed by the first so they will not bill anyone the month of April.
Which is the right thing to do, we just hope the members realize they are trying to do the right thing and stay with the brand when this is all over.

During Katrina my old gym, billed everyone never did open back up, he screwed us on that one.
