Srixon V Star compared to Bridgestone XS ball

Anyone played both balls enough to give a review ?
They don't make the Bridgestone XS in yellow any more, so I am looking for a replacement ball. I have not played a Srixon V Star before, but they do offer them in yellow.
I have ordered the sample packs of the Snell balls to compare too.
Thanks for any insight.

Srixon make a good ball but I find it's not as good around the greens as Pro V1. I would look at how Bridgestone compares to Srixon around the greens. I play the XV z star which flies a long arse way off the tee with pretty low spin

I used to play the z stars but my swing changed and they started ballooning on me. I switched to the Bridgestone and it would take somebody paying me to play a different ball to get them out of my bag

Well I don't need the ballooning for sure, I hit the ball high anyway.
I really like the yellow ball since my course has a lot of trees that drop leaves and it is easier to find, plus I can see it in flight better too.
I guess that I will give the Snell balls a try and if they don't cut it, I guess that I will go back to the ProV1.
Hate that Bridgestone stop making the yellow ball in the XS.

Me too, but I can’t abandon the XS. I switched and tried every major brand. I’m back to the XS. The only one I liked was the prov1, but I love the XS

I order the sample pack of Snell MTB-X and the MTB Black, 2 sleeves each.
I should have them by the 17th when I am playing BlackHawk GC in Sugarland Tx where the wind always blows hard.
It should be a good test for both versions.
IF interested , I will do a mini review on them with my and my playing partners thoughts.
BTW, I tried the Titleist AVX ball this morning , that thing is pretty squirrely, if I catch it on the (hot spot) on my irons face, it can explode for another extra 10-12 yards over the green... it rolls forever with the driver too.
