Bell has become a de-commit.
His mom always seemed super pumped that he was a Gator, but the kids gotta make their own decisions.

Only want kids that are 110% committed and want to be a Gator.

If Bell thinks Muschamp and USC will help get him where he wants to go, then I wish him some very good luck.

I'm starting to realize that some people are simply against Mullen's recruiting.

A few weeks ago guys were mad at us taking 3-stars here and there.

Now they're mad Muschamp stole a 3-star from us.

Gators fans think Muschamp knows offense better than Mullen, it's absolute fricking stupidity.

The usual suspects that wring their hands and gnash their teeth over any missed recruits without knowing jack what the staff is doing.

The peanut gallery will play the blame game and fault asst coaches for not getting enough 5* recruits. Off with their heads! Its silly.

We are just a week or so from getting a lot of talent to commit and if it slows down..its back to whining. Don't be that guy.

Ahhh we just got another commitment!! Richie Leonard OL 6'2" 320 and he will be a OG or OC for us. He has been rumored to be heavily favoring the good guys and pulled the trigger today.

He’s a fella that has been moving up the rankings I believe. He’s got pretty quick feet for a kid his size.

Kinda off topic but not by much. I live in G'ville and was working by campus today. Went to a 7-11, I know I'm old and don't know what to call them now. In walk two guys as I was waiting to pay. I'm 6' and around 180 pounds. These two had to have been 6'-6" and around 275.

I just hadn't been that close to the big uglies to realize how big they really are. They are huge. The last time I met a player it was Donnie Young 6-4 and 315. When he was in a doorway was when I really could put some perspective to his size. The linemen today are big mofo's. I didn't ask their names but they had UF gear on. They filled the doorway and made me feel puny.

Of course I'm sure I could have taken them if wanted. I even asked them if either wanted to step outside and throw the hands. They declined. Nuff said.

I have a warm spot for OL going back to the early 1960s when OL were 190-195 lbs...some less. Charley Pell played for the Bear at about 180 lbs...that was in the days of platoon football where OL would also play DL. DBs would be WRs or RBs...example would be Dick Kirk and Allen Trammel (by way of Eufala, Alabama...# 23 and a favorite of mine.

He picked off the Noles in 1965 and took it to the house. Dick Kirk scored a decisive halfback 40 yd run to upset Bama in Tuscaloosa 1963 and then in 1964 he took an interception 80+ yds to help beat AU in Gainesville 14=0 I believe from memory.

Ok, enough of the history lesson.

Go check the Reddit out.

"Ah, losing a recruit to Muschamp."

How in the frick do these guys not learn? I remember when we were in full meltdown last season and we ended up finishing top-10, rinse and repeat. Same thing is going to happen this season.

Thanks Finch...I was wondering if another u was used in spelling that town....but I see my incorrect grammar didn't stop you from knowing the town

Do any Allen Trammel stories make the rounds there? In 1964-65 Trammel, Kirk and All SEC Bruce Bennett played in the defensive backfield...Bennett was the only one I recall not playing on offense also.

Made the mistake of checking out the 247 board for the first time in a while. Still nothing but the same dumbasses that were proven wrong about our class last year parroting the same bullshite, although there is now a special side order of people openly questioning the 247 in-house rankings of UF recruits vs other teams.

I've always said that taking the negative route was pretty much a win-win type of deal when talking about sports.

1. If you're right, you can talk about how right you were 'til the end of time.

2. If you're wrong, everyone is too happy to remember and go back and find the posts and remind you of it.

That kind of controversy is what sells, and which is why we don't have much traffic/many posts here. All of us are pretty much, maturely, in "wait and see mode". I think when we start losing games, then we'll be in a position to start criticizing.

As it stands, Mullen finished as a top ten team, blew out Michigan (who has had our number) and finished with a top ten recruiting class.

We suffered a lot of casualties in the last class, but if he has another top ten finish we'll very likely be changing the tide for the long run.

In the end: You can't expect Mullen to fix a 10 year problem in two, or even three. The entire brand needs rebuilding.
