Screw that bigD, 18 should be Louis Oliver without question and he was a walk on with academic scholly and was on track team...so was his sister.

6'1" 225 safety who would jar you senseless. Played in same backfield with Jarvis Williams. Lilly never made first team AA, Oliver was first team twice and Jarvis (RIP) was first once in 1987. Oliver was first round pick of Dolphins. Lilly wasn't selected in first round.

I just mentioned him and posted his picture in the post above yours.

But it is ok for anyone to post their favorite #18 and then we can argue about it.

Let's go with Zach Carter for #17 since Reche Caldwell was busted for drug possession and intent in 2014.

Zach is a 6'4" 263 lb DE who is a redshirt Sophomore and I think will have a breakout year in 2019!

He is a homeboy and I think he will surprise folks this year.

You guys are too young...no word about # 15 Wayne Peace who started as a true frosh in 1980 for Charley Pell and led an upset over Ole Miss...remember we were 0-10-1 in 1979 when Pell inherited a mess from Doug Dickey and Pells first year with Larry Ochab (doctor O) as QB....all 5'10 of him.

Wayne Peace (Lakeland) came in after Bob Hewko got injured and did ok. We upset highly ranked California in the opener who was led by QB Steve Bartowski (ywes, the one who played years for the Falcons with the cannon arm) and we had Hewko leading our team. Later on he and Peace both played QB at times.

Here is the 1984 WLOCP game where we shutout the poodles and Wilbur Marshall was still nursing broken hand and sat out. But you can see Neal Anderson (27) Lorenzo Hampton (7) John L. Williams (watch him block!!!) along with Kerwin Bell (12)

Wayne Peace was one of my favorite Gators, so accurate on the short pass, but Tebow is the greatest to ever wear the #15. Both deserve a mention in the countdown.

There is no way Id compare Peace to Tebow....just giving history lessons

I'll be 72 in a few weeks and I have seen many many Gator
games. John L. Williams (22) is one of my favorites. Jack Youngblood was an awesome Gator along with Wilbur Marshall, who btw used to babysit Charley & Ward Pell's kids.

Some Gators bash Pell but he changed our image in so many ways, the script helmuts, replacing the goofy smiling Gator mascot with an angry reptile..Albert. When he came to UF the HCs office was a dump, torn furniture and third tier facilities at the time. Pell set out to raise money and was damn good at it...he got the Ben Hill family to kick in a lot of $$ so we could upgrade and expand the stadium. RIP Charley.

Alex Brown vs Tennessee in 1999 is the greatest game by a UF defensive player.

Dude was a man amongst boys that night.

No Box, better watch You Tube video of Wilbur Marshall vs USC (w) in 1982 or 83. USCs QB was Sean Salisbury and talk about a rough day at the office. Wilbur was quick as a whisper. They could not block him.
I watched him play in 1983 I believe in red stick surrounded by kitties (lived in Metaire and took my crazy Cajun g/f with me) and Wilbur had a broken wrist I think....he picked off an LSU pass one handed in the end zone and brought it out to the 24 yd line. Next play was a sweep by Neal Anderson for 76 yds...game over.

Alex was quick also and I think a game vs jawja was his best game...the dawg QB had a # 13 tattooed on his chest he was hit so many times.
