Jesus H Christ he’s gonna get slaughtered by that UGA d line. Better him than ruin Doty forever I guess.

Sucks to be in this position but we gotta play with the cards we're dealt. All I can ask is that Zeb gets pulled if he plays poorly so we can find out what we have with Brown and/or Gauthier. Watching Zeb throw to his first read on 95% of passing plays last weekend was hard to root for.

backers
You mean the same people that backed the Muschamp hire and contract extension he got?

I imagine it's hard to satisfy those kind of people no matter what you do.

This would actually be worse I think. The only and I mean ONLY way we have a shot at UGA is if Doty plays and is 100%.

I'm actually getting a little Deja Vu from a couple years back during the streak when Spurrier kept the starter in question til an hour before game time and DT went out and whooped the sheep humpers.

Maybe Beamer is slow playing Doty so he could keep UGA from getting any film on him? Not sure Beamer is that savvy, or that it's possible at all, but a guy can hope right?

I could be off - but I believe Carolina has won more games in Athens in that time than Auburn ...

whatever happens in Athens Saturday - I just hope USC comes out of the game healthy enough to have a chance to win some games before the bye week.

I'd be relieved if USC could leave Athens with the same game/score we saw in 2017 at 24-10 final. a then #2 as well UGA had Chubb/Michel/Swift/Hardman & Fromm QB - which is more NFL talent/skill on offense than they'll line up with this weekend.

our defense gave up close to 450 total yards but the game somehow stayed close. we don't have another Bryan Edwards or Hayden Hurst this weekend - or even a Bentley who threw for 1 TD & 2 INT.

the outcome was never really seemed in doubt but it wasn't the blowout a lot of people were anticipating, either. Gamecocks beat #21 UF the next weekend in W-B. I wouldn't be surprised to see Kentucky come in with a top 25 number in front of their name this year.

Yea this game was pretty close all things considered. It was 14-7 in the 2Q and we had the ball with about 15 seconds left. Edwards was wide open down field and Bentley tried to throw it to him but got hit when he released it and the pass was picked off. Would have most likely been a touchdown and tied game if Bentley hadn't got hit. Of course we walked into halftime with all 3 timeouts remaining.

Beamer:

"I know Luke is as close to 100 percent as he's been since he got hurt. We anticipate him being able to play on Saturday night if the situation dictates that he needs to be in."

Coach speak. Zeb starts

I think he either sprained a foot or fractured a none in his foot early in fall camp

Yall had a great game plan that night. Play keep away with long drives and not give up any big plays.

If Doty isn't starting, then he shouldn't be in pads.
