I agree that pizza is more of a dominoes special. But I had pineapple on one when I was in NY and it was still great.
We went on a pizza rating tour and tried as many slices from different places as possible for several days.
Johns on bleeker was the best. Gotham Pizza was pretty solid too. For pizza like that, all you need is pepperoni and you're set.

Theres a place near wall street called Georgios that looked like that square cut pizza. Theirs was pretty good too. We never went to Brooklyn tho, there was just too much to do in Manhattan.
