2018 South Carolina Baseball: 37-26 (17-13) SC falls 4-14, season comes to an end

Well aren’t we off to a fine fricking start.


I don’t know anything about softball but they are ranked I think, but they never seem to do well in conference. Then again, the SEC is stacked in softball.

Holy crud, Arkansas is 16-1 so far this year in softball. That is amazi... oh wait. We've played a handful of schools that most folks would recognize. I don't think I've ever heard of the rest of teams on the schedule. Oh well, until very recently we've been horrible in softball. I'm down with beating up on North Colorado and Central Conn. State.

Our men's team is 9-3 on the year, and we've had a few games where we left a lot of folks on base. Going to need to get that fixed. I've only caught one USC baseball game so far this year, what has them off to a slow start or is it just expected growing pains for a young team?

The game tonight is canceled.

I'm having to go down to fish camp (Santee Cooper) all day tomorrow, Saturday, to prep camp for a record turnout in a couple of weeks.

I wish there was some way to give one of y'all my tickets for tomorrow's games. I've got good seats, trust me.

So if I were to leave you tickets for both of Saturday's games at Will Call ... you promise to pick them up and use them 88?

ETA: Speak now or forever hold your peace ... or is it piece? Hmmmmm, hell, I dunno. But I am about to head out the door and head to this afternoon's game and I need to drop these off this afternoon while I am at the game today because I am leaving for Cross early early in the morning.

I just got home and am just now seeing your message. Tried to get a signal at the game but it wasn't happening for some reason.

No problem ... my wife says she will drop them off at Will Call tomorrow before the game. Hopefully she'll get there by 11:30 but, if by chance she runs late and doesn't get there until 12:30 or so ... she'll have my VIP parking pass that will get her past the police and right up to the stadium. She'll be driving a pearl white Lexus 450. She's really tall, 6' tall, with dark shoulder length hair and green eyes ... she's an attractive 50 year old woman - you can't miss her. So if you get there and the tickets are not there yet ... catch her parking on the curb and running to Will Call, just say, "Mrs Rooster, I'm Gamecock 88 and I'll bet that envelope is for me." She'll probably laugh and ask how I know you and it's up to you from there friend.

She's known for always being in a hurry and usually running late so if you're there 30 minutes before the game you'll probably run into her, knowing her.

Wish I could lend you my parking pass too but she'll need that to get in and out once they block off Williams Street.

I'll write everything on the envelope now and leave it out for her because she's already in bed and I'll be gone before she's awake, but ... enjoy the games Gamecock88. You've got two tickets for both games tomorrow headed your way.

Look out for foul balls. The pop ups are not much of an issue but the ones that come screaming off the end of the bats off the right handed hitters can come in hot sometimes ... screaming right over the Gamecock dugout and tipping off of the very end of the backstop net, sometimes they take crazy turns and spin with some english on'em and sorta hook right into those seats. My general rule is to just duck because some always throws a hand up and it ricochets into someone else's nugget. One almost got us tonight. Oh, and occasionally Cortez gets around too quick on a change-up and pulls one around hard that way ... those come in smokin so all you have time to do is to pray.

Anyways ...

No publishing or making public those seat numbers now, promise ... ok?

And don't hit on my wife. She's my second and a lot younger than me and I wanna keep her for awhile longer. 50 may be a little old for you. They are hard to handle and damn expensive to keep.

Okay so an update. I woke her up before I left the house just to make sure we were on the same page and she said she cannot get there until 12:15 because ... for some damn reason.
