SEC West

2 Alabama
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 1
It’s Alabama, so losing a boatload of NFL stars doesn’t matter … but it does. It’s not going to be a 2019-to-2020 LSU problem because the defense is going to be a killer, but you don’t get better after losing DeVonta Smith, Najee Harris and Mac Jones.

6 Texas A&M
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 4
If the quarterback play can be strong and the offensive line can put the pieces together, look out. The overall talent level upgrade under Jimbo Fisher will kick in.

10 LSU
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 29
Don’t overreact to last year. The ultimate rebuilding job now means the Tigers are full of veterans who should be a whole lot better. It certainly won’t be close to 2019 again, but there’s too much talent to be 2020.

24 Ole Miss
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 22
The defense has to prove it can stop someone other than Indiana, but the offense is going to be an absolute killer despite the loss to WR Elijah Moore.

27 Auburn
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 21
Bryan Harsin isn’t winning national titles right away, and the receiving corps needs new stars, but the O line will be great and the D will be fine in the transitional season.

45 Arkansas
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 34
This is going to be the best Hog team in several years, but don’t get too excited quite yet – it’s still a rebuilding job under Sam Pittman. Being competitive in the SEC West is more than enough.

50 Mississippi State
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 38
The offense has to be better with almost all the top receivers back. The team never had time and a real offseason to get the timing down, but now there’s no excuse – this ranking could change very, very quickly over the next few months.

SEC East

5 Georgia
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 8
Once again, all the talent is there to be the best team in college football, and once again, the expectations will rightly be at a national title level. QB JT Daniels should help with the offensive consistency.

8 Florida
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 7
Don’t underestimate how quickly the Gators are about to reload. There are a ton of lost parts, but they’re being replaced by a slew of talented future stars.

31 Missouri
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 33
Just about everyone returns on offense and other than LB Nick Bolton, almost everyone who matters is back on the defensive side. Watch out for Rice transfer Blaze Allredge to be a tackling star.

34 Kentucky
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 36
QB Terry Wilson transferred out, but the offense will still do what the UK offense does. Replenishing the lines is the biggest spring key.

44 Tennessee
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 75
This isn’t going to be a quick fix under Josh Heupel. The Vols lose a ton to the transfer portal, but getting Virginia Tech QB Hendon Hooker should help behind what should be a good line.

59 South Carolina
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 81
Starting with RB Kevin Harris, this should be a better, more competitive, and more dangerous team than it’ll get early credit for, but new head man Shane Beamer will need time.

79 Vanderbilt
2020 CFN Final Ranking: 91
New head coach Clark Lea has a lot of work to do with a total overhaul of the program coming. This is a young team that has to figure out how to score.

Maybe the author is a close personal acquaintance of Will Friend, and thinks he can coach these guys up?

I was going to say I haven't heard a single Auburn fan think their OL will be great. Nice to see I was right about that
