The Florida Gators landed commitment No. 26 for their 2021 class with the addition of Murphy (NC) four-star offensive lineman Yousef Mugharbil. The North Carolina native picked the Gators over other finalists such as North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, Penn State, and Louisville.

The Gators extended an offer to Mugharbil back in April and the coaching staff recruited him very hard following that. Mugharbil has continuously noted Florida as the school that had been in touch with him most frequent of all of this finalists. It was the combination of area recruiter Tim Brewster, offensive line coach John Hevesy, and even head coach Dan Mullen that had been the main lines of communication in Gainesville.

"The communication level is pretty much the same with them, but with the lack of visits it makes those talks more important," Mugharbil said in his last interview with Swamp247. "We try to get on the phone every now and then, if not every other day, especially me and Brewster. We just keep in contact."
