I for one am glad he stated the obvious in what truly happened. And the Bears are distancing themselves from him because of it? Come on now. I just gained more respect for what he said.

Didn’t see this posted elsewhere so figured I’d see what you all on here have to say.

The sad thing is he will end up having to apologize for his comment. We live in a culture where people are terrified of appearing racist even if what they say may be true.

Yes. I only care about what athletes have to say when they agree with me. Otherwise I want them to shut up.

I really don't care one way or the other that he said it. My issue is that him and Drew Brees get repercussions for their statements while Ryan Clark, Shannon Sharpe, Steven A. Smith, Malcolm Jenkins, Stephen Jacksom, Jalen Rose, etc get to say whatever the frick they want and nobody says anything about that. Paul Pierce and Kendrick Perkins were on The Jump a couple weeks ago saying that they want an explanation for why some players decided to stand for the anthem. This double standard stuff isn't representative of the equality that's being fought for right now. If we want equality and we want people to listen then that needs to apply to everyone.

If we want to have an open, honest dialogue in this country, we need to truly be able to do that and discuss things that are uncomfortable.

Personally, I'm glad he said it just because I appreciate the entertainment

What happened to no politics here? Or is ok to have right wing politics only?
