According to 990 The Sports Animal in Knoxville transfer Deangelo Gibbs(who came from Georgia) will be playing wide receiver at Tennessee. Tennessee needs wide receivers so I think that's a good move by Coach Pruitt and his coaching staff if true.

He was a hell of a WR in HS, he just needs to stay clean.

Word in the rumor mill at UGA was he struggled with addiction and maintaining grades.

Hopefully he will correct those and see the field in Knoxville. I hated that we never got to see him play. Good luck to y'all and Gibbs.

I liked him better as a receiver coming out of high school. Wish him the best. He has skills and can leap.

When you say addiction, are you saying like alcohol/ pills or are you talking about green? Like was it an actual issue effecting him or was he just failing drug test? Sorry if thats been discussed i just dont ever recall actually hearing what his vice was?

People have speculated it’s coke. I have no idea but he quit the program for a while and no one was sure if he was coming back and the speculation was a serious drug problem.

Sometimes a change of venue where kids start with a clean slate an be life changing. Hope it works that way for this kid, regardless of performance on the field.

When I reference addiction and drugs I am not talking about the ganja.

I am talking about excessive use of the boogah sugah and more commonly in this day and age pills such as Xanax and opioids.

The latter is a huge problem in today's youth.

Yupp. I'm hoping that the change of scenery can help him change.
