I was surprised a little by Clemson losing so many juniors early.
I think they have only announced 3 early entries, and off a national championship team that isn't bad at all. And they had maybe 1 early entry last year? They are doing a good job of keeping their veterans for that extra year.

They lose their entire starting defensive line, plus the top backup, and don't have anyone close to that level of talent left on the roster, sans Xavier Thomas.
They also lost their top LB and top CB.
They are going to be hurting on defense next year, kind of like us this year. Their offense should be elite, but there will be a significant drop off in defensive talent for Clemson in 2019.

How about their OL? People get so caught up by Trevor Lawrence, but they forget that Clemson was the best in the country in the trenches.

I'm not arguing that they aren't losing a lot. I was just commenting that compared to Bama they seem to have a relatively small amount of juniors leave early at least the last couple of years. Of course last years juniors coming back made it where it was a heavier senior class leaving this year at least on defense.

Looks like they lose 2. So about average attrition for the OL.

Next year is going to be a real test for them, I have come around to the view that this year's Clemson team had their version of our 2016 defense where a bunch of key contributors came back and paired it with a freshman QB who was developed and game planned around in a way that we didn't do.
