Why watch CFB when I can watch the NFL? Both pay players with 12+ team playoffs

What is the differentiating factor now? At least the NFL playoffs will be competitive.

Why all the whining about 12 teams in the playoffs? More football - matchups of good teams that normally wouldn’t play during the regular season - replaces so many “meaningless” bowl games.
