Depressing to think how much money these athletes make playing a game. People work their entire lives and don't make that much.

If a guy is in the top 50 picks or so, they could be set for life IF they are smart investing it. Since the signing bonus is the only thing guaranteed, I'm talking about the guys that will clear at least a million+ dollars after taxes, agent commissions, etc.

The social justice warriors might rethink voting Democrat when they start seeing how much Uncle Joe wants to keep out of their checks.

We say this every year... the NFL team got someone who will help them invest their money wisely. Look at tua and jalen. They're living off their endorsements... their check goes to saving. The boys will be fine.

All the social justice bullshite will fall by the wayside real quick when they realize what the progressives really stand for when they gave 50% to the tax man.

Btw I saw the first Najee commercial yesterday he really lights up the screen. Dude may have future after football as a tv presenter.

Ohhh...must have been some wannabe social justice warriors getting their panties in a wad lol. Doesn't take much.

Just curious, how much do you think comes off the top for the business team?

Agent, Manager, Lawyer, Accountant, Financial Planner, etc.

20-25%?

Agents of NFL players aren't allowed to take more than 3% on the contract, but there's no limit to the percentage they can take on endorsement deals (although the range generally seems to be 10%-15%).

Obviously the deal structure for the rest of the people (if necessary) will vary greatly.

NFL agents are capped on the contract at 3% I think by League policy....but they can take 10-20% of an endorsement.

It should’ve had more. There’s a really high demand for that entertainment so those players make a lot of money. No one is paying money to watch construction workers work. Not that they don’t do hard work nor are they less as a person. it’s just simple supply and demand. I see it as no different as someone inventing a useless product and creating millions off of it.

That’s how the world works. If you want it differently you’re either arguing for wealth redistribution, governmental adjusting salaries, or people valuing entertainment less

These guys should be taking those bonuses, find a nice conservative financial advisor focusing on long term income, and invest every single penny of it, then wait for the salary to come before buying house, car, etc

I get that's how YOU feel, but I don't think I'd use the term "depressing". Yes, they make a lot of money to entertain other people by playing a game. Actors/Actresses make a lot of money to entertain other people by playing pretend/make believe.

When you are extraordinarily uniquely talented - in any field - you are compensated accordingly. The field of athletics is very big business. Those who are the elite of the elite are compensated as such.
