Without Oklahoma, the Big 12 has been American quality in the Playoff era

It's really sort of embarrassing that the Pac-12 had more picks than the Big 12.
And in context, that the top three SEC teams had almost as many or more than both of those entire conferences.
•28—Pac-12
•27—Alabama, Georgia, Florida
•22—Big 12

Surprised at how bad the Big 12 was in the draft this year.

Just a visual representation of what everyone already knows. It's really P3 these days, not P5. Sure Oklahoma jumps up every now and then, but the B12 and P12 are no longer on par with the SEC, ACC, and B10.

Remove eight teams out of the SEC, and it's still the #1 conference in draft picks.

That really is amazing.

and the other 8 would still rank 6th on this list.

Fifth if you don't consider the other part of the SEC.
Two chunks of the conference are basically P5 leagues all by themselves.

Pitt, who knew?
Honestly, that was one of the most surprising things to me about the whole draft.

That is a well done graph - both in appearance and in conveying the numbers in a easy to read and compare way.

Agreed. The more you study it, the more you can infer, even without numerical data (which is still there too).
I think the genius of it was putting the individual teams in descending order up from the axis, because it's really easy to compare and contrast those at the top.

I didn't see the Vandy person get drafted. Who was it?
I'll likely just google it

Good luck to the young man. I thought for sure it was going to be Ke'Shawn Vaughn but it looks like he was already with the Bucs last season.

Since Notre Dame played an ACC schedule last year and played in the ACC championship game (even though that appears to be over now)...I would include their numbers in with the ACC for the 2021 draft...just to push the Big 12 down the line a little further.
