How Responsible Is Allen Greene for Auburn's Decline?

Seems most teams in the athletics department are in a spiral downwards. Greene was hired in January of 2018 and has been at Auburn for 3 years now, going on his 4th. Tenure is no longer an excuse for inefficiency. The only constant that remains the same for all sports is its front-end administration. Below are the winning percentages for most major sports beginning a year before his hiring.

So almost everything is worse than when he took over? Might be time to replace him then.

He inherited every coach and team. He removed two of those coaches this year.
Softball caused its own problems and I don't expect the current coach to survive.
Basketball made it to a Final Four, and should of been in the Title Game.
Baseball will continue to struggle with the lack of Pell Grants and reduction of Out of State Tuition to level the playing field.
So far, the two new hires look good, but time will tell. Harsin will have a harder road than the new WBB coach due to being in the SEC West.
Standing up to the old guard has gained him a lot of respect from the Alumni. The cost cutting (some of which was really needed) may have gone too far.

Yeah, but Greene hired Oats at Buffalo and that football coach of theirs.

Danny White hired both of them shortly before he left for UCF.

Terrible thread.
Only if you're not a fan of a declining AU athletic department.

Auburn isn’t considered elite in anything. Auburn right now is right where it should be as far as an athletic department.

Auburn is absolutely elite in your head. Always #1.

Nice... but a little too PC.
In football... Green was shackled with a deluded of glory football coach, who ignorantly believed regularly kicking the shite out of Nick Saban proved his self worth, while downwardly coasting from the high of having Cam Newton salvage his one page single sided playbook... so props to him for finally fixing that one.
As for basketball... he had nothing to do with the NCAA nor Chuck Persons and has continually and correctly backed Bruce.
Concerning baseball... who really cares until they segment it for TV like golf, showing only the highlights, and combining 3 different games in one simulcast.
Oh... and softball it'll always be a cost prohibitive boar and truly beneath the dignity of any AD, until they play it with a wiffle ball and in bikini's. Because even title nine can't replace the real word implications of a bottomless financial pit... (same for women's basketball think volleyball)

Pearl could snap back to form. He's already had more sequels than the Fast and Furious franchise. Football is king. That's the one he will be forever joined at the hip with. As Harsin goes, so goes Allen Green.
