Why the hell is Max Abmas’ name pronounced the way that it is pronounced?
I went all tournament hearing “Ace-mas” with every single announcer pretending like that’s a normal way to pronounce Abmas. I just want an explanation

Familial pronunciation I guess. Just found out he is majoring in Biomedical chemistry, the kid is a stud.

It's from the German ß, that weird big B that is actually a hard S.
