Idk seems like a pretty good job to take
Paid atleast 2m a year at a school that doesn’t give a frick about football
You’ll be given a very long leash since there’s no stress to win ASAP or at all really
And then if they do fire you after a 3 years because of something stupid, you get a nice buyout

I don't think that job has much appeal to coaches that are trying to take the next step in their careers... i.e. someone we probably don't want coaching here.

If they're smart they hire Tulane's current coach.
Modified Triple option offense so they don't have to try to recruit with Texas, Ok State and Oklahoma.
No one runs or see's that offense in that conference so he'll be able to surprise people.
And if you're thinking its that tired shite they ran at Ga Tech, you're wrong. Its more similar to what Coastal runs and he brought Ga Southern back from the history books with it. YOu'll recall them showing the world what a useless waste of sperm Muschamp was when they beat Florida at Florida under him.
You simply cannot recruit there well enough to keep up with the top of the conference. So most of their coaches go the route our current dufus is, loading up with transfers. Well that works for a year or two and then it f's you. Eventually you have to get Freshman in and develop them. This is what literally all of them did Miles, Beaty, Bowen, Wise and Gill. Mangino was the only one to develop but he couldn't recruit so he fell flat too.

If you can't recruit or don't have recruits, yet. You always hire an offensive genius.

Exhibit C: Bobby Petrino
Exhibit D: Hugh Freeze
We did none of that because we're so morally superior that we'd prefer to be the new Vanderbilt.
