The important thing to know is that SRS is a rating that takes into account average point differential and strength of schedule. SRS for college hoops is straight forward (no HFA & no adjusted MOV), but one item to note is that games against non-major opponents are not counted in our calculations.

No wonder we made the NCAA tournament with 15 losses

I thought Alabama upset Stanford to get into the Elite 8 in one of Gottfried’s years and then got axed by UConn and Matumbo or however you say his name.

2004, yes, but that team wasn't great until the end of the season. They were 12-10 in late February.

Wow, 1991-92 Bama had 4 first round draft picks, didn't even make the list, love Wimp, but what a waste of talent.

In his defense, he lost to a very good Arkansas in the Sweet Sixteen in '91 (I think), with an injured Robert Horry.

What doesn’t factor into that equation is that Minnesota team was easily a top 25 team too before the injuries. The OOC stretch was BRUTAL. Under the last 3 coaches, we have had a tough non-conference slate just about every season (the first couple under Grant weren’t great I don’t think). I feel like this year is the only time in our history that the tough non-conference schedule has actually benefited us.
