Quite a bit of news swirling around the Broncos trading Drew. Not a good situation for him anymore.

I think the whole conversation about Drew Lock being the guy is over"

Not sure if I believe this. In just his second year, he had 17 different receivers play due to injuries. Hard to get any chemistry with that, and JJ and Hamler had plenty of issues with routes.

Plus he’s missed a lot of time himself due to injury.
But seriously. Dooley and Huepel did him no favors for NFL development.
That said. Denver is a train wreck right now. A change of scenery could help.

When Huepel was here the word was that he had to dumb down or vanilla the offense for Drew. Remember they only had so many wrs that would run a route and the other wrs would not go out for routes.

Heupel’s offense is as dumb as it gets. He still runs that 1 WR route stuff.
Drew is probably done though and it’s a shame. He never really got a fair shake, but he also didn’t perform very well most of the time either.

What? That’s just Huepels shitty offensive system.

Drew's biggest hindrance is receiver's not catching the ball imo. This led to a very noticeable problem for Drew that may not have happened if he had receivers who didn't have so many drops, hero ball.
Is Drew Lock a good quarterback? That is from his rookie year. I think Lock can be really good but he needs a good OC or HC to work out his issues/complement his assets (however you want to look at it).

Agreed, he was terribly plagued by drops and they went out and drafted what should have been a #1WR but Jeudy sucked arse all year. Hamler, Sutton, Albert O all hurt and missed significant time.

He has played just over 1 full season 2 years. Different OC's every year. Covid et al.
The kid needs time but I still think he can be a good NFL QB
Now, if no progress after this coming season then I can see a move. Doing it now it stupid of Denver.

Eh. He still led the league in % of bad throws, had the worst on target completion %, but did come in top ten in WR drops.
He’s got a lot of mechanics still to fix.

I think he lacks the killer instinct. Still a bit immature. I could be way wrong because I'm reading a lot into body language and what few words I hear him speak. He just strikes me as having a good time, which is fine. He doesn't strike me as doing the extra little things to keep a starting job in the long run.

This is comically laughable....in the 6th grade Drew's playbook was over 100 plays.

I tend to agree.. You get the feeling that the team genuinely likes him off the field but on the field the chemistry is not there. The exit interviews probably confirmed it and that's why they wanted to target Stafford, then Watson, and now Wilson/Watson.
FWIW, I always thought the best situation for him was in the 49ers offense.
