If LJ waits to sign in Feb and doesn’t EE the time hats a red flag to me. Why would you graduate early yet pass on the chance of getting ahead in college? He could participate in spring, learn the system, and push for 3rd string touches.

Not adding a transfer QB - just added a PWO at that position. I imagine BTJ and the Auburn speedster would be a priority. Also, if LJ is coming here he probably wants to add "space" between himself and Spiller. That would explain the lack of EE

Personally I think it is because Sark won't be at Texas until at least next week, and he wants to give him a chance to recruit him and some OL's from the portal. However, I've been wrong before

What do you mean space? If he enrolls now or summer or fall he’s still a freshman in 2021.

I hope I'm wrong but I imagine LJ will end up in Austin. He keeps giving them chance after chance. He wants to be there and is looking for any reason to go.

I think he would redshirt if he came to A&M in order to put space in-between him and Spiller. But like I said, I honestly think it is so he can see if Texas is going to get its act together

I think LJ is waiting to see if Stan Drayton goes with Urban Meyer to the NFL. If Drayton stays at texas, I'm pretty sure that's where LJ ends up.

Where's the '22 thread? Y'all are apparently having a commitment day with like 6 kids soon.

Maybe more like a commitment week or two? Things look very good for us with some serious 2022 class studs, some of which would solidify our position for a few years

Roach on LJ:

quote:

Nick and I both have been checking with sources for any clarity on LJ Johnson at the moment. After Texas held a lead throughout the fall and into the last week, it seemed all but done he would be a Longhorn. As of the last week we've heard that momentum is swinging back towards Texas A&M. We had heard that Johnson was going to make a quiet visit to Austin today, but we haven't been able to confirm if he actually made it to campus but we think he didn't. We've also heard rumors he could show up in College Station tomorrow. Our best intel says that the offensive line play Texas A&M showed this year, the class they recruited and the opportunity on the depth chart. might be the difference in this race. If I had to say, I think the momentum is on the Aggies.

It's obvious now that the "friend" that is taking LJ to College Station is probably Tunmise. Looks like they are going to hang with Malone and 2021 class early enrollees today. That would be huge for our chances.

Tunmise is saying on social media that he's getting LJ and Malone on board. Crossing fingers ...

BL is saying we have room for LJ, Moko, Malone, Thomas, and Morris - assuming we can land all of them. (It's seeming very possible, and it would put the 2021 class at over 294.)

Dang! Thought we only had 4 spots left. Did BL mention if there would be any other blueshirts or greyshirts to make it happen?

That's amazing! Any word on prospects with Thomas?

I think we are strong favorites with all the others, except maybe Malone. Not sure about Thomas, except that they seem to think we're very much in it.

Perroni just flipped his pick of Morris to OU, not looking good for him now.
