Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus. Wasn't he an ex Missouri DC under Gary Pinkel? He is getting an interview with the New York Jets for the HC position. He has come a long way to get an opportunity to be the HC of the Jets in the NFL.

I’m old enough to remember when Mizzou fans hated him and Pinkel had to find a landing spot for him.

most of the time it isnt just about how good a coach is, they have to find the right fit.
Look at quin snyder as another Missouri example.
Nothing with Eberflus has likely changed other than he found better places for himself.

He was rubbish, and Pinkel, via Saban got Eberflus a gig in Cleveland.
Coaching network, coaches fail, and go up. Fail and get another gig. Once you get a coach label, you can fail and continue working in pro sports. NFL being one of the worst with the "good ole baw" network.
