ESPN just did an all-Saban team; it has players going all the way back to Mich. State. Only 2 of the players are not from the Saban Bama teams.

I’m surprised not everyone has Quinnen Williams on their lists. Unlike the other guys mentioned, his supporting cast wasn’t filled with other All-Americans. He was the only one. He didn’t have the help they did. It didn’t take long for teams to notice that and double team him. I remember that sack he had on Burrow in 2018 when he was triple teamed.
He was a far more complete player then guys like Cody, A’Shawn, Jessie, or Payne. Dude was the best run defender in the country, but was still arguably the best interior passer rusher Saban has ever had. PFF had him rated as by far the best defensive player in the nation, and also as their highest rated player in the country regardless of position.

No Heisman winner and all-time great? How can anyone NOT have Smith as the all-time greatest WR in Alabama (arguably SEC and national) history, much less Saban only?

I'd put our 2nd team All Saban team up against ANY other program's first team during the Saban era time frame... including Clemson and Ohio St.

Agree. That's why I didn't put those DL on my list, great as they were. Only had 4 spots.
