Of course they do it the day we play Mack Brown.

They will squeeze every bit of the "when Mack Brown was at Texas he beat the Aggies this many times" narrative.

If memory serves, our starting inside backer that day was Jordan Mastrogiovanni

No, the starting linebackers that day were Donnie Baggs, Steven Jenkins and Darion Claiborne.

I thought an injury or something happened during game week. I remember iso-ing on Mastro throughout the first qtr. Or, at least I think I remember.

From Looch’s “Players to Watch”, 9/11/13:

quote:

LBs Jordan Mastrogiovanni and Steven Jenkins
Both linebackers will be making their first starts of the season at a position that has been the weakest spot on the A&M defense through two games. Many believe Jenkins is the Ags’ best defensive player; if he’s not, he’s near the top of the list and is certainly the most disruptive member of Mark Snyder’s front seven. Fast, physical and aggressive, he’s exactly what the unit has been missing during its struggles so far this season.

The only question regarding Jenkins (who had an excellent game against the Tide last year) is whether or not he’ll be able to hit the ground running and perform at his usual high level after sitting out the Ags’ first two games due to suspension. As for Mastrogiovanni, the true freshman is truly getting thrown into the fire on Saturday, earning his first career start against the defending national champs and college football’s most physical offense.

At 6-3 and almost 235 pounds, Jordan is currently A&M’s best option at the SAM spot, where Tommy Sanders is simply too slight of build to handle Alabama’s power and the Crimson Tide’s giant tight ends. Most program insiders believe Mastrogiovanni will be a very good player in the Maroon & White. Hopefully, he’ll provide a four-quarter glimpse of that promise on Saturday, both against the run and pass.

Interesting development on Texags. Brandon Jones is wiping the servers pre-2020 to get rid of incriminating posts over the last several decades.

Brave new world folks

He implied he’s received very real threats regarding the site being deplatformed. There has been a not inconsequential Twitter movement in recent months to get them to take the politics board down, and a bunch of the more unsavory topics have made their way onto social media.

I’ll be honest, I’d just nuke that board specifically and save the hassle. I generally fall on the conservative end of the political spectrum but that board really takes it way too far. And I can’t even imagine what Chicken must deal with here, the TD politics board has been a goddamn Hitler youth rally lately.

This one is pretty similar to the TA one so I’d imagine they’re in the same boat

Oh, that makes A LOT of sense. I thought the Jorts saga had come around.

If I'm the university, I would ask him to just shut the Poli board down. People deny it, but at the end of the day it hurts our image. I've seen recruits get screenshots of the Poli board get sent to them in the past. We all know that when the university asks TexAgs to jump, TexAgs asks how high. It's probably just a matter of time before the Poli board is killed like the Rivalries board was.

I've been called a liberal for standing up for real conservative principles on TD's Political Board . If it goes against Trump, it's "Liberal, Antifa, RINO, cuck, establishement, etc.".

There has been some very disturbing posts there in the past. Anything from unfounded (and dangerous) conspiracy theories to straight up racism. I've seen a few people come short of calling interracial couples an abomination .

You know it's bad when even Alex Jones denounces most of the conspiracy theories found on the Poli Board. More power to Chicken if he doesn't bend to the pressure. But at some point, I think he will have to change how the board is monitored to keep the cancel culture people at Bay.

I haven't ventured to either poliboard really since a day or two after the election. Total shitshow on either site. Can't imagine what it must be like to have to be responsible for any content on either board.
