Definitely seems like the old fashioned red-arse coaches are getting phased out, but that approach was always a little too one-size-fits-all anyway.

Hell, Weeb Ewbank sent Art Donovan back into a game despite a broken leg. Now, turf toe keeps guys out for 6 weeks.

Yeah, but is that the 17, 18, or 19 70s?

I saw a Redskins game on TV in the early 70s and QB Billy Kilmer got hit and had a broken nosem bone sticking out and blood gushing. He went to the locker room and came back out the next quarter. He had stitches and tape on his nose and cotton gauze pads stuck up each nostril. He threw 3 TD passes in the 2nd half to win the game.

Did somebody make you come in here or stay in here? If you don't like us you can always leave.

That's when players played because they loved the game. Most are rolling in their graves from players opting out and quitting on their teams.

That said, it is a problem we (the fans) allowed to happen. We allowed the sport to become so big that money became the driving force. I still lover the game and enjoy watching. Players can do things we never even thought of today, but something has also been lost.

I can be dramatic.

Is it worse than millennials/snowflakes, though?

Wouldn't know about that - squarely in the middle of Gen X.

I know I am a boomer, but to be honest, I don't know where all the others start and finish.
