If you get a chance, watch the sky cast of the game...

I recorded it but watched the regular version. Watched it tonight and man, you see things entirely different. Not just plays and routes but penalties as well.

Yep skycast was great. I actually brought a second tv in and had the skycam on the main tv with sound muted, and the second tv had the regular brodcast. Watching Skycam with the main broadcast sound and commentary was awesome.

Is it on the espn streaming app? I watched some of the broadcast with Eli Gold doing play by play. It was cool, but they had it for screen, with a camera on Saban the entire time. After a couple minutes, it just felt creepy with a dedicated Saban camera. I would've just rather have the full screen of the game.

The Eli broadcast screen was shite.

They took up half the available space with bullcrap no one wanted to see. Just show the game as you would on regular ESPN and have Eli's call instead of Herbstreit's.

Simple.

So bizarre they felt the need to keep half the screen on Coach Saban the whole game.

It was interesting to see a camera on him the whole time. He would fuss at the defense even when we stopped their RB for no gain or maybe a yard or two.

That's it. That's all they had to do, and it would've been fricking awesome. I'd have watched it live. But nope. In true ESPN fashion, they tried to be too unique, and instead fricked it up.

Thanks. I guess when I get home in a few hours, I'll have to roll one up and watch the replay.

After the game I checked my DVR and had 5 recordings of the game! It automatically recorded all versions.
The skycam view was very good. I liked seeing the play from behind the qb. Also, the only sound during most of the game is the pa announcer.
