I actually forgot the joke originated from there

Did it really though? It's basically a variation of the old "What time is it? Time for you to get a watch!" joke. Surely there is a sports board predating TexAgs that had people using that spin when it came to questions.

When I think of a joke that I'm fairy certain originated on TexAgs that got run into the ground my mind goes right to the "VORE!!!" bit for voting on online polls.

This could be just another development year. Or it could be a masterpiece.

Even if it isn't "the year" we should go 10-2 (6-2).

Idk. I think the west is going to look very different next year. I agree generally but it seems like a year where a lot of programs will be n the upswing.

Bama, Ole Miss and LSU look like the toughest games

About as good as you could hope for, 5 games for the O to gel before Bama, bye before Auburn and basically a bye before LSU. Need to stay injury free in the Miss St and Auburn games to be ready for Bama and OM. 2 loses at worse if King has a grasp of the O by half way mark of season, Defense will keep them in every game.

Bama will take a step back from being the GOAT team, but they'll still be good AF.

Lsu will be better, but they very unproven. They return a lot, but are breaking in a new DC & OC and don't know who their QB will be.

Ole Miss should be similar. High flying offense. Lots of turnovers. shite for D.

Mississippi St should be better. I tihnk Leach gets it figured out offensively. If they can keep up the strong D they may end of being the #3 in the west and in the top 5 of the SEC. Even at Leach's best, he has a medium ceiling.

Auburn won't be as good. I think their transition will be difficult.

Arkansas was better, but still terrible. Maybe they get better, but everyone can't improve.

I'm afraid Mizzou could be a lil tricky.

I'm thinking 10-2 with that schedule

That's what I think, too. The bottom line is that we were clearly better than every team on our schedule (sans Bama) last year, and there is no good reason to think that will change. Maybe LSU improves a ton and knocks us off. Who else is gonna beat us? We're going to out talent everybody on our schedule except for Alabama and LSU. Maybe, if the line is slow to gel and King has trouble transitioning from practice field to gameday, we'll drop a 3rd game. But I just don't see it. Our defense will be filthy. Our skill group will be better than last year. I just don't see lower than 10-2.

Lotta "ifs," but given our returning starter situation, that's a very good schedule.

Yeah Mizzou is a huge trap game. Explosive offense and playing them on the road right after the physical punishment of playing Bama is going to be tough.

No, no, no they have not been recruiting at a level that would let that be true.

If we are struggling to beat Mizzou at that stage of the season then we have no business being in a bowl next year.

Yall need to remember we are breaking in a new QB and almost entirely new offensive line. We are going to drop a weird game. Best case scenario is 9-3 unless Henson is a god and the offensive line gels or unless Haynes is like a generational qb

What is this shite? Best case? We're returning 20/22 on defense and every yard gained and every TD scored, except those scored by a QB that most of yall thought sucked anyway. Dude, please.

Yes, we're losing 4 OL. But none of them will be drafted higher than the 4th round - maybe 3rd. The guys replacing them are highly rated guys who have had time to develop.

Nah, bro. Best case is 12-0. Worst case is 9-3.
