It may turn out to be a great hire. Vandy is not a good school to judge a coach by.

This is a great hire. Anyone who points to his time at Vandy and W-L record doesn’t know shite from shinola. His HC experience and familiarity with SEC landscape is going to really help AU.

Well our last d-coordinator had a worse HC record. I would not want either of them for head coach.

Whew

Good thing Head Coach Harsin didn’t make that decision.

Yep, Steele was terrible as HC.

Muschamp was fired at 2 SEC schools and I would have been fine with him.

Mason didn't do well at VANDY. I will cut him some slack. His DC track record is strong.

This is a great hire. He’s a solid coach and I bet he’s tired of losing.

Two former head coaches on staff. Judging from "other programs" out there, this appears to have some benefit. Both Mason and Bobo have run programs and can help in more ways than just O and D.

Now we just need some more HC's as analysts who also would volunteer to wash Harsin's car.

Two gap is hard as hell to implement. I don’t care about anything else.

I love this hire.

Word is out on how quickly and effectively he'll be able to implement his system. I hope it's successful.

We could be in a great long-term situation if we start seeing success from Harson and Co. Having former HCs as coordinators means they will most likely stick around IF we win.

I believe Derek Mason is Auburn's first black full-time coordinator in history.

Not counting interim or bullshite co-OC or co-DC titles.
