Hawks building a defnese for Trae after this and the Dunn signing the Hawks are looking like a legit playoff team

Kris Dunn has been very underwhelming in the NBA compared to what I thought he would be coming out of Providence.

The offseason moves have been very, very impressive.
Still have our max slot for next year’s free agency as well.
Young, Reddish, Gallinari, Collins, Capella, with Rondo, Huerter, Hunter, and Dunn off the bench is as good a rotation I could hope for this early on.
I’m pretty happy with this rebuild thus far. Fun team to watch. Hope they can mature and improve on defense. Could be a dangerous squad.

I really like Gallinari.

Added Soloman Hill and Bogdan Bogdanovich to the Hawks roster as well as drafting a defensive stalwart at Center witb a lot of potential.
So instead of having 4 NBA caliber players the Hawks will like be able to go 11 or so deep this year with good defenders and some shooters out on the wings. At a minimum, it should be a playoff team.

Yeah they have so much depth now. Should be a fun team to watch.

Major props to Travis Schlenk. This is about as good of a rebuild effort in 3 seasons as you can have.
Drafted:
Collins
Young
Reddish
Hunter
Huerter
Okongwu
Traded for:
Capella
Signed:
Gallinari
Rondo
Hill
Bogdonovic (Sacramento can still match)
And above all, still has space for a Max contract going into super free-agency next year.
I said it about 2 years ago, but I think the Hawks might actually be the closest to actually getting a title back to Atlanta.
The Falcons are in for a major overhaul, and the Braves, while currently the most talented and title-ready team, will never be able to outspend the Dodgers. The Mookie Betts sign and trade won then the NLCS last year. Our ownership group will never make that move.
Travis Schlenk with Tony Ressler’s money and org management is a dangerous combination. Can’t believe it took the Hawks 50+ years to get it.

I hope so. They have a great home game environment.

You might be right. Now is the perfect time to go for it with LBJ’s career winding down

It’s definitely the Braves, and it’s not even close. The hawks won’t have a shot unless they get a top 10 player or Trae gets a good bit better defensively.

The Braves would have won it all this year if Soroka didn't blow his Achilles.

They would of at least got to the WS.
It'll be good to have him back.

Um,Trae is a top-10 player.

I love Trae, but absolutely no shot (at this point). He’s still a defensive liability. Here’s your top 10 (or so) not in order.
Durant
Lebron
Curry
Harden
Giannis
Kawhi
Davis
Luka
Jokic
Butler
Then, there is Dame, CP3, etc

I would probably say top 15. Definitely top 20.

That's fair.

Sure, he’s a great player. Just saying top 10 today is way too high. It could (hopefully) change as soon as this year.
